Wiicon > IGN: IGNcube's Nintendo "Revolution" FAQ
[Cube.ign.com] September 12, 2005 - Nintendo's GameCube console is far from dead, but that hasn't stopped the company from announcing that it is underway with a next-generation successor, codenamed "Revolution." The system has been given an appropriate codename if Nintendo is to be believed: the publisher says that the console will revolutionize the way people play games. No easy challenge, but if any company can do it, Nintendo can.

NAVR should go up as we approach the release of next generation high definition DVD players and the Sony Playstation 3 and Nintendo Revolution (Wii) consoles are released.
[PlayStation 3 Week - PS3 news, game previews, screens and more.] Somebody Else's System: So rather than create something new or innovative, Sony tacked on a last-minute addition to the Dual Shock 2 -- it's now equipped with a Wii-like (or, perhaps more accurately, a Nintendo DS-like) gyroscope. So when you "steer" by moving your controller through space, your spaceship turns appropriately.
[Your Drunken Mom] PlayStationWii: It got people thinking that maybe Nintendo wouldn’t have to follow the competition into standard controller land where ideas go to be ported easily and cheaply. Sony displayed the PS3 with no playable demos and a notice that the controller they showed was not the final version.
[Blog.wired.com] Game|Life: I'm not about to call their lineup of playable games bad, there are definitely gems in there, but the Microsoft booth is hardly the place to be this E3, what with PS3 and Wii out there for the first time. Halo 3 would have made the trip to South Hall a day-one necessity rather than a stop-off for the curious.
