Xbox 360 Leads Google Searches
[ Igniq - Gaming News] If gamers put their money where their searches are, it looks like the Xbox 360 will win the next-gen console race. Fortunately for Sony and Nintendo, whats searched the most online and whats actually bought at the store sometimes ends up being two entirely different things.

Might we someday see a WiiHD?
[ ulo.tricho.us] While it’s now more clear that Wii isn’t really intended to be competitive with the next generation at all, the fact remains that many potential Wii buyers (myself included) have invested in HD displays, and we don’t even decide what to have for lunch without thinking about if it would look better in HD. I don’t think that HD support is a dealbreaker in any way for the potential Wii buyer who just wants to play Super Mario Galaxy, but you combine these early-adopter market dynamics with Nintendo’s established upgrade habits, and I think there’s a possibility that we may someday see a Wii-HD as an upgraded model with HDMI out and support for HD resolutions.

Nintendo Wii will win Japan; Not PS3
[Technology Wrap] The excitement around the Wii has been phenomenal since E3 and it should do very well both in Japan and in the U.S. I think it will be a huge hit in Japan and an overwhelming success. In the U.S. the results won't be as dramatic but it will far exceed expectations.
